The Health Training Center (BBPK) team, Ciloto, West Java conducted a working visit (kunker) to the Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security (KPKP) Agency, to add insight and knowledge related to urban farming.
Ciloto BPPK Widyaiswara Associate Expert, Sri Asih Gahayu said, her party wanted to learn more about the process of growing plants, knowing plants that are suitable for the climate in the environment, how to take care of plants to learning procedures for making good plant fertilizers.

Agriculture Division Head, Mujiati expressed, agriculture system in Jakarta is very unique and different than other areas, because of limited land. Thus what is being done is space-based agriculture, such as using rooftops as a place to plant.
"The main aim is to make the environment greener and more beautiful, as well as a source of family food and to realize small-scale food security, namely families," she explained.
To support urban farming, the agency was ready to serve for seed applications and crop protection including promotion and certification of agricultural produce. Application services for seeds and plant protection were filed online via the SiPetani website.
"For people who are interested to learn about agriculture, we also provide agricultural learning facilities at the location of the agricultural nursery and Agro Edu Wisata (AEW)," she added.
UPT Center for Seed Development and Plant Protection (P2BPT) speaker, Hadi Turanto said, the material shared was about how to cultivate plants, how to make fertilizers and the propagation of fruit plants using shoot grafting techniques and budding or grafting.
"The time for grafting is in the morning or evening. Avoid grafting during the day as the plant is still in the resting phase, so it will have a risk of failure," he said.
As for the information, as a souvenir, the agency gave guava plant seeds to the BBPK team.
